Donna Belle (Forbes) Dayringer, age 91, entered heaven February 17, 2023, while at home in St. Louis, MI, surrounded by her children.
Private graveside service will be held at Midland Memorial Gardens with a Celebration of Life to be held at a later date.
Donna was born in Royal Oak, Michigan, on March 8, 1931, the daughter of Carl and Edith (Hardy) Forbes. Donna married Richard Dayringer on November 22, 1949. Richard passed away in 1983. She was predeceased by her parents and sister, Betty Rice.
She is survived by her four children: Melanie (Don) Blough, David (Ginny) Dayringer, Dan (Roxanne) Dayringer, and Michele Dayringer; Grandchildren Jonathan Blough, Tamara (Darren) Mills, Brett (Shannon) Dayringer, Melissa (Joshua) Gustavison, Anthony (Alicia Tesorae) Dayringer, Jacob Dayringer, and Christina Dayringer; Great-grandchildren Alexis and Colin Mills, Kaitlyn and Dillon Dayringer, Bryce Gustavison, and Orion Dayringer.
Donna loved the Lord and spending time with, and cooking for, her family. She was a homemaker who was very successful at having an attractive and welcoming home. Donna shared her creative talents with many through her sewing abilities (made several wedding garments), cake decorating, and oil paintings. Donna’s green thumb was evident in her beautiful flower gardens where she also had many bird feeders. One of her life long favorite places was Higgins Lake where she resided for several years.
Donna surprised herself by entering the electronic age when given the Grandpad so she could stay in touch (similar to FaceTime) with family member’s one on one through conversations.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital. Online condolences can be sent to www.smithfamilyfuneralhomes.com. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis, Michigan.
