Donna Jean (Zalecki) Beasley

     Donna Jean Beasley, age 81, of Lansing, MI, passed away peacefully Saturday, March 30, 2024, at the Stoneleigh Residence, Lansing, MI with her family at her side.

      Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie, MI, at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, April 4, 2024. Burial will take place at Riverside West Cemetery, Henderson, MI. Visitation will be held at 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.

      Donna was born in Carson City, Michigan on March 31, 1942, the daughter of John J. and Emma Isabelle (Lienau) Zalecki. She graduated from Owosso High School with the Class of 1960, and attended Lansing Business University/Davenport College and LCC.

      On August 1, 1964, Donna married Kenneth Gene Beasley at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lansing, MI. They were married nearly fifty-eight years prior to his passing on June 5, 2022.

      Donna was a loving mother who devoted herself to her home and family. She later was a Claims Auditor for Delta Dental of Michigan for eleven years. She attended Emmanuel First Lutheran Church of Lansing for many years. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, baking and gardening. Donna was raised on the farm and loved the farming life.

      She is survived by her daughter Tamara (Raymond Sr.) Waldowski of Perry, MI; son Brian Beasley of Lansing, MI; two grandsons: Raymond Jr. (Paige) Waldowski and Dalton Waldowski; and three great-grandsons: Emmitt, Owen, and Wyatt. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Kenneth, son Keith Beasley, and brother Stanley Zalecki.
