Donna Jean "Ritenburgh" Abbott

     Donna Jean Abbott, age 76, of St. Louis, MI, passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at MyMichigan Medical Center, Alma, MI.

     In following Donna’s wishes, a cremation has taken place and no services will be held.

     Donna was born in Ionia, MI on March 28, 1947, the daughter of Edward Grant and Doris Emily (Kenter) Ritenburgh. She graduated from Fulton High School with the Class of 1964. On July 28, 1969, Donna married Wilber Don Abbott in Ithaca. They were married 32 years prior to his death on April 24, 2002.

      Donna devoted her life to Christ, loved spending time with family and friends around a dinner or card table, and found great satisfaction in raising four boys and later in spending countless hours with her five beloved granddaughters.

     Donna is survived by her sons: Wilber (Mary) Abbott of Dallas, TX; Stephen (Chauntel) Abbott of Atlanta, GA; and Charles (Ayako) Abbott of Tokyo, Japan; five grandchildren: Jessica, Jennifer, Mia, Sheila, and Nina; her sister Lenessa Ritenburgh, and many cherished nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Edward Ritenburgh, mother Doris (Jack) Aldrich, husband Wilber Abbott, son Roy Abbott, and brothers: Gerald, Douglas, and David Ritenburgh; and infant brother Franklin Ritenburgh.
