Donald Lee Miller

     Donald Lee Miller, age 79, of Alma, MI, passed away peacefully Sunday, October 5, 2025, at his home surrounded by his family.
     A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Nativity of the Lord Parish, Mt. St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Louis, MI, at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, October 13, 2025, with Rev. Fr. David Parsch presiding.  Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery, Alma, MI. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 12, 2025 from 5-6 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Home, St. Louis, MI with a prayer service beginning at 6:00 P.M.
     Donald was born in Alma, Michigan on October 27, 1945, the son of Ora and Grace (Wolfe) Miller. He graduated from Alma High School with the class of 1963. Don married Sabina Soto on June 10, 1967 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Mt. Pleasant, MI.
     Don retired from Lobdell Emery after 41 years. He faithfully grew a garden for 20 years and donated a majority of his produce to the Office of Human Services and friends. Don enjoyed deer hunting with his twin brother Ron and his friends. He was a member of Nativity of the Lord Parish/St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Louis.
     He is survived by his wife Sabina Miller of Alma, MI, sons: D. Patrick Miller of Alma, MI, Michael Miller of Portland, OR, brother-in-law Alvino and Joyce Soto of Clare, MI, sister-in-law K. Louise Soto of Denver, CO and special cousin Linda Sue LaPaugh. He is survived by nieces and nephews: Heather and Chris Allen, Lisa and David McCray, Tom and Tammy Soto-Fitzgerald, Jennifer Loveless, Cody Torres, Kenneth and Carrie Nothnagel, Marcia Soto-Bierschenk, Anita and Tracey Soto and Anthony. He is also survived by many great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, twin brother Ronald Miller, sister Nancy Munson, special cousin Linda Sue LaPaugh, and special dog Lola.
