Donald E. Loudenslager, age 80, of Ithaca, passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2019, at his home, surrounded by his family and his best friend, Rocky.

Don was born in St. Louis, MI, on June 6, 1938, the son of Joshua and Rose (Dewitt) Loudenslager.  He served his country in the U.S. Navy.  He married Beverly Baker of Perrinton, MI, on March 31, 1958.  They had four children together.

Don was an avid outdoorsman, who loved hunting, fishing, and camping.  He loved to be with his family.  He worked through the local union as a welder pipe fitter.  He was proud to be a life member of the Ithaca Masonic Lodge. Don is survived by his wife, Beverly; their children, Martin Loudenslager of Ithaca, Marshall Loudenslager of Ithaca,Rose (Dan) Spence of Elwell, and Matthew (Kim) Loudenslager of St. Louis; his grandchildren, Jessica Baxter, Jennifer Loudenslager, Rachel Smith, and Nicholas Loudenslager; 7 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Ray and Delta; and his sisters, Donna, Dorothy, Dorlene, and his baby sister Doris; and his grandson, Joshua.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, March 21, at the Barden Funeral Home in Ithaca, with Pastor Erin Taylor officiating.  Interment will be in New Haven Cemetery.  Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8p.m. Wednesday, March 20, at the Barden Funeral Home, with a Masonic service at 6;30 p.m. Condolences may be left for the family online at www.bardenfuneralhome.com.
