Donald Eugene Ingersoll

     Donald Eugene Ingersoll, age 89, of Alma, MI, passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at Schnepp Health Care Center, St. Louis, MI.
     A Memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 28, 2026 from 2-5 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes Alma Chapel, Alma, MI. Burial will take place at Riverdale Cemetery, Riverdale, MI at a later date.
     Donald was born in Gratiot County, MI on October 24, 1936, the son of Charles and Helen (Duke) Ingersoll. He was a graduate of St. Louis High School. Donald proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. On October 14, 1961 he married Mary Kay Poulson in St. Louis, MI.
     Don retired from Lobdell-Emery then after retirement he worked delivering car parts for Car Quest. Later in life Don accepted Christ into his life. He and Mary Kay were members of the Alma Church of Christ and attended Coe Church of Christ. He was a fishing enthusiast, enjoying fishing with his friends and family. In his early days, Don loved to ride motorcycles. He proudly coached Little League Baseball teams for both of his sons. Don was an avid sports fan and loved the Detroit Tigers.
     He is survived by his wife Mary Kay Ingersoll of Alma, MI; son Marvin Ingersoll of Saginaw, MI; son Brad and Karen Ingersoll of Rockford, MI; brothers: Robert Ingersoll of Breckenridge, MI; James and Donna Ingersoll of Mt. Pleasant, MI; Gary and Diana Ingersoll of Bay City, MI.
     Don was preceded in death by his parents and three bothers: Jerry Ingersoll, Ron Ingersoll and Dick Ingersoll.
