Donald Hutchinson Jr.

Donald Lee Hutchinson, Jr., age 59, of Ovid, MI formerly of Bay City, passed away peacefully with his family by his side Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at his home.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis, MI, at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, December 3, 2021,  with Pastor Mona Kindel officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 12:00 P.M.
Donald was born in Alma, Michigan on March 31, 1962, the son of Donald Lee and Nancy Lee (Davis) Hutchinson. He resided most of his life in the central Michigan area.     Don loved spending time with family and friends, especially sharing a beer. He was an avid fisherman and passionate about cooking, often making his family try some new recipe. He enjoyed trips to the casino and nights out on the town with his friends. He was an animal lover. His cats, Sparky and Midnight, and dog, Chloe, were his closest companions. Most of all, Don dearly loved his family.
Don is survived by his daughter Jennifer (James) Doan of Ovid, son Donald Lee Hutchinson III, 6 grandchildren: Kaitlynn Mathis, Kirsten Hutchinson, Mikayla Finch, Damian Hutchinson, Tiffany Doan, and James Doan Jr.; siblings: Betty (Jon) Robinette, Tim Hutchinson, Gayle Hutchinson, and Tanya Alward; and many nieces and nephews.  Don was preceded in death by his parents, and best friend Howard Johnson.
