Don Arens

Don Arens passed away on March 5, 2013 at the age of 91. He was born July 12, 1921 in Westphalia, the son of Albert and Philomena (Nau) Arens. Don married Gertrude (Schueller) Arens in Fowler on November 20, 1950 and she survives him.

Don is also survived by three children, Ann (Tom) Rademacher of Eagle, MI, Patrick Arens of Fowler, Lucy (Larry) Pline of Lansing, sister, Dorothy (Daniel) O'Brien, grandchildren, Charlene (Jim) Paul, Lorie, Daniel, Donald, Ryan and Bryan Rademacher, Chantelle and Paige Pline, great grandchildren, Makayla and Blake Paul, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, five sisters and great granddaughter, Kaitlin Paul.

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Fowler, with Fr. Dennis Howard presiding. Burial will follow at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. and Friday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the Goerge Chapel of the Osgood Funeral Homes, 11112 W. Ionia St., Fowler, MI. The Rosary will be prayed at 8 p.m. on Thursday and 3 and 8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
