Dolores Irene Ennes

     Dolores Irene Ennes, age 97, of St. Louis, Michigan, passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2026, surrounded by her family at her home.
     Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. St. Louis, MI, at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, May 21, 2026. Burial will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery, St. Louis, MI. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, from 2-6 P.M. at the funeral home.
     Dolores was born in Alma, Michigan on November 19, 1928, the daughter of Ralph William and Viola Irene (Sowvel) Fenton. She graduated from St. Louis High School class of 1968. She married Frank Golden on March 17, 1947, and they had 5 children together. Later in life, she married Merle Sylvester Ennes in 1968, in St. Louis, MI. They were blessed with 14 years of marriage, prior to his passing on March 31, 1982.
     Dolores worked as a prep chef at Family Lunch Restaurant in St. Louis for many years. She liked to watch cooking shows, walking in the woods and reading western novels. She was a member of Alma Church of the Nazarene
     She is survived by four daughters: Joanne and Jerry Kretzschmar of St. Louis, MI; Marilyn Hernandez of Ohio; Barbara and Barry Bunting-Scott of Riverdale, MI; and Linda Flanigan of Crystal, MI; her son Frank Golden of Sumner, MI; and her sister Norma Odem of Alma, MI. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 13 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Virginia Davis, granddaughter Debora Kretzschmar, two husbands: Frank and Merle and daughter-in-law Leona Golden.
