Dewey Leo Bunting

     Dewey Leo "Dude" Bunting, age 70, of St. Johns, MI, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his wife, children, grandchildren and siblings on Monday, April 7, 2025. Dewey is well loved and will be missed greatly.
     A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
     Dewey was born in Mt. Pleasant, MI on November 15, 1954, the son of Wayne and Donna (Bellows) Bunting. Dewey married Patricia Beagle on March 15, 1974, in Lansing and had 3 kids together.
     Dewey loved The Beatles; he was a true disciple of John Lennon. He also loved old time rock n' roll, fishing, classic cars, and the memory of seeing Ringo Starr. Dewey was a loyal fan of the Michigan State Spartans (Go Green!!) and the Detroit Lions. He never missed a game. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family. Game nights were some of his best memories. Dewey was a loyal employee of GM for over 30 years.
     Dewey is survived by his wife Pat Bunting of St. Johns, MI; daughter Melissa and Corey Burns of Lansing, MI; son Keith and Marci Bunting of St. Johns, MI; son Jason and Carrie Bunting of East Lansing, MI;14 grandchildren: Brooke and Michael VandeGuchte, Zachary Burns, Quentin Burns, Jade and Nick Dunn, Cole Bunting, Trevor Bunting, Tyler Bunting, Kaylee Bunting, Noah Brussell, Reagan Bunting, Jacob Bunting, James Harmon, Lily Harmon, and Mariyya Trayor; great-grandson Theo Dunn; brother Randall Bunting, of Lansing, MI; sister Sanya Bunting of DeWitt, MI; brother D.W. an Donna Bunting of Lansing, MI. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Dewey was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Sherry Bunting.
