Dennis Earl Boak

     Dennis Earl Boak, age 78, of Pewamo, MI, passed away Sunday, May 3, 2026, at Corewell Health-Blodgett Campus, Grand Rapids, MI.
     At his request, cremation will take place and the family will have a private celebration of his life at a later date.
     Dennis was born in St. Johns, Michigan on August 27, 1947, the son of Charlie S. and Edna Mae (Jastram) Boak. He was raised in Fowler alongside his 7 brothers and sisters and they have always remained extremely close. Dennis graduated from Fowler High School, with the class of 1965. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. He was a painter for General Motors and he took pride in his work. Dennis loved bluegrass music and enjoyed playing his banjo and getting together with friends to play music. The Wheatland Festival was a trip he made every year with his sons and friends. He enjoyed riding motorcycle, skiing with his family and camping. Dennis was a conversationalist and enjoyed visiting with old and new friends. No one ever left a stranger and he never forgot anyone he met. But his greatest pride were his sons and their families, who he loved dearly, always interested in what was going on in their lives.
     He is survived by his sons: Jeremy and Kathy Boak, Eric and Stephanie Boak, and Aaron and Cassandra Boak; his siblings: Duane and Mary Jane Boak, Diane and Dave Thurston, Denise and Jim Weber, Dale and Jane Boak, and Dwight and Christine Boak, his sister-in-law Judy Boak, his aunt Caroline and Carl Minnis, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents Charlie and Edna, and brothers: David and Daniel Boak.
