Delta Lavern Sigafoose

Delta L. Sigafoose, age 69, of rural Alma, passed away November 3, 2017, with his family at his bedside.

Delta was born August 9, 1948, in Alma, the son of Herbert and Dorlene (Laudenslager) Sigafoose, though he was raised by his step father, Evart Brauher, whom he cherished.

He married Carol Wesenberg on September 26, 1966, and to this marriage added three children, Steve Sigafoose, Robert Sigafoose, and Linda (Sigafoose) Biddinger.  He leaves with us so many great memories of him playing the guitar and singing, and going camping with his children and grandchildren.  He had the ability to talk to anyone and make them smile.

He leaves behind his loving and devoted wife of 51 years, Carol; two sons, Steve Sigafoose of Ithaca, and Robert (Tammy) Sigafoose of Ithaca; one daughter, Linda (Jeff) Biddinger of Ashley; 10 grandchildren; one sister; one step brother; and four half sisters.  His presence in our lives has made us better people and he will be greatly missed.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, November 9, 2017, at the Barden Funeral Home in Ithaca, with Pastor Jerry Drummond officiating.  Interment will follow in Hayes Road Cemetery.  Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, November 8.  Condolences may be left for the family online at www.bardenfuneralhome.com.
