Delana Kay (Sykora) Lewis

       Delana Kay "Dee" Lewis, age 76, of Owosso, MI, passed away Monday, February 12, 2024, at Shiawassee County Medical Care Facility, Corunna, MI.

      A cremation has taken place and there are no services planned at this time.

      Delana was born in St. Johns, Michigan on September 3, 1947, the daughter of Fred Paul and Emily Mildred (Mosne) Sykora. She graduated from Rodney B. Wilson with the Class of 1965, and then received her LPN degree from Lansing Community College.  On November 8, 1978, Delana married Charles H. Lewis in Lansing, MI. They have been married forty-five years.

      Dee loved animals, especially her dogs. She was a nature lover and spent much of her time outside. She enjoyed tending her flower beds and working in the garden. Dee was a reading tutor for many years at Saline Middle School and enjoyed helping many children.

      She is survived by her husband Charlie Lewis, son Chad Lewis, one brother Dennis (Donita) Sykora, niece Denise Sykora, and nephew Michael (Cheyenne) Sykora. She was preceded in death by her parents.
