Del Leo Campbell

      Del Leo Campbell, age 87, of Ithaca, MI, passed away Saturday, August 8, 2026.

      A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Burial will take place at Perry Mount Park Cemetery, Pontiac, MI, at a later date.

     Del was born in Northville, MI on November 24, 1938, the son of Del Franklin and Marjorie Evelyn (Cole) Campbell. He was a graduate of Northville High School. On December 11, 1976, he married Noble Hopson in Pontiac, MI in the home of Noble's parents. Noble passed away on April 16, 2025.

      Del retired from Eagle Trucking Company. He was a talented musician, playing the piano, guitar and banjo. Del played with the Bennett Schultz and Campbell Trio. He later joined his wife and Shermie in a Bluegrass Country Band. Del loved to do woodworking and made many wood projects. In his younger years, he enjoyed fishing and muskrat trapping with his Uncle Charlie. He was a member of Little Zion, Old Regular Baptist Church in Ray Township, MI.

     He is survived by his son Robert Campbell; son Timothy Campbell; daughter Rhonda Schafer; son Del Roy Campbell; many grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and sister Dawn Schroder. Del was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Noble Campbell, and his son Curtis Wayne Campbell.
