David Ray Daye, Jr.

     David Ray Daye, Jr., age 46, of El Paso, Texas, passed away Monday, August 11, 2025, in St. Louis, Michigan.

     A cremation has taken place and no local services are planned at this time.

     David was born in Alma, Michigan on July 26, 1979, the son of David Ray and Susan Lorraine (Miller) Daye. He graduated from Davie High School in Mocksville, NC with the Class of 1997.

     David was a gifted athlete and an example who inspired others. In his younger years, he enjoyed his time with friends playing ball. As he got older, he deeply respected his fire fighting buddies and paramedic pals. He treasured his family and friends. David was proud to be a husband to Nancy and father to Davin. He dearly loved his son and always enjoyed spending time with him.

     David is survived by his wife Nancy Burciaga Calvillo of TX; his son Davin of TX; mother Susan Daye of St. Louis, MI; one brother John Daye of NC; his sister Summer (Brandon) Johnson of AL, and two nieces: Katie and Kaylee. He was preceded in death by his father, and grandparents.
