      David "Bruce" Beane, age 65, of Ashley, MI, passed away Friday, March 15, 2024, at Sparrow Health Systems, Lansing, MI. 

     A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Cyril's Catholic Church, Bannister, MI, at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, with Rev. Fr. Raj Bandaru presiding. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. with a Vigil and Rosary held at 7 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes Elsie, MI. Burial will take place at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Owosso, MI at a later date. 

    Bruce was born in Lansing, Michigan on June 16, 1958, the son of Ralph Barnard Beane and Janet Elizabeth (McColly) Hulbert. Bruce graduated from Harry Hill High School in Lansing with the class of 1976. Bruce married Juleann Baese on July 5, 2005, on Anini Beach at sunset in Kauai, Hawaii. 

    Bruce retired from General Motors (Fisher Body) in 2006, after 30 years of service. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed many golf trips with friends and family visiting several states.  He excelled in Taekwondo earning his black belt and many awards. In younger years Bruce enjoyed fishing and he was a faithful Michigan State Fan. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy for 5 years. He was a member of St. Cyril's Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Council 13349, and the American Legion in Elsie.  

     He is survived by his wife Juleann Beane of Ashley, MI; son Christopher and Tianna Beane of Ithaca, MI; step-daughters: Nichole and Craig Frye of Owosso, MI; Kristyn King of Owosso, MI; Erika King of St. Johns, MI.  He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, his brother Robert Beane of Atlanta, GA; mother-in-law Marcella Baese of Elsie, MI; and many brothers and sisters-in-law.   He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Elizabeth White, and father-in-law Gale Baese.
