Darrell Eugene Collier

     Darrell Eugene Collier, age 75, of Ovid, MI, passed away peacefully Thursday, December 1, 2022, at Ovid Healthcare Center.

     Funeral Services will be held at Duplain Church of Christ, St. Johns, MI, at 12:00 P.M. on Monday, December 5, 2022, with Pastor Vernon Collier and Mr. Andy Goodrich officiating. Burial will take place at a later date at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, MI. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service beginning at 11:00 A.M. at the church.

     Darrell was born in Charlotte, Michigan on June 13, 1947, the son of Gordon Walsh and Bessie Ilene (Steward) Collier. He graduated from Charlotte High School with the class of 1967. Darrell proudly served his country in the United States Army August 1967 - June 1969 during the Vietnam War. He retired from F.C. Mason, St. Johns.

     Darrell was a collector of all things Coke-a-Cola and always needed his Coke. He enjoyed fishing, watching sports, and was on several bowling leagues. He liked nature and being out of doors. He was a member of Duplain Church of Christ and sang in the choir.

    He is survived by three children: Trevor (Sarah) Collier of Greenville, Cody Collier of IN, and Mary (Matt Green) Collier of Ovid; step-daughter Sarah (Jay) Losey of Owosso, step-son John (Linda) VandenBroek of Lansing, three grandchildren: James, Jacob, and Carol. He is also survived by six siblings: Ed (Dixie) Collier, Darlene (Jack) Cook, Vern (Linda) Collier, Duane (Jackie) Collier, and Clarence Collier; sister-in-law Terry Collier, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Troy, siblings: Marsha (Ken) Foster, Gary Collier, and Doris (Duane) Sherd.
