Darrel Lee Curtis

     Darrel Lee Curtis, age 90, of Grand Ledge, MI, passed away Thursday, December 11, 2025.
     Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes - Osgood Chapel, St. Johns, MI, at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, with Joshua Ortiz officiating. Burial will take place at Eureka Cemetery, Eureka, MI. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. the time of the service at the funeral home.
    Darrel was born in Lansing, MI on March 5, 1935, the son of Owen and Eloise (Hogan) Curtis. He was a graduate of St. Johns High School. He married Marilyn Anne Green on May 23, 1958, at Pennway Church of God in Lansing, MI. They were married for 68 years prior to her passing on April 19, 2025. He served his country in the U.S. Navy.
     Darrel retired from Oldsmobile in 1988. He was heavily involved at his church, South Lake Wales Church of God in Lake Wales, FL for many years. He volunteered his time to help at the Church of God Campgrounds in St. Louis, MI for 37 years. Darrel enjoyed traveling and loved to spend time with his family. The time he spent with his family was his greatest joy.
     He is survived by his children: Scott and Sally Curtis, Dawn Curtis, Doreen and Win Gerde, Debbie and Scott Hayward, Todd and Lisa Curtis; 9 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; his sister Carol Joslyn. Darrel was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Marilyn, and his brother Gilbert Curtis.
