Daniel Paul Petrick

    Daniel Paul Petrick, age 73, of St. Johns , MI, passed away Saturday July 18, 2026, surrounded by his friends and family.      A Memorial Service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-day Saints, St. Johns, MI, on Saturday, August 15th, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at the church.
     Daniel was born in St. Johns, MI, on December 29, 1952. He was the son of Peter Paul Refugio-Katie (Medina) Petrick. He graduated from St. Johns High School in 1972, and then joined the US Army. After serving in the military, he went on to become a Foreman at General Motors where he later retired.
     Daniel married Julia Gloria Ramos on April 18, 1983, at the courthouse downtown Lansing, MI. Daniel loved to fish and hunt and latter baptized into the LDS church where he was quite involved. He served in the honor guard. He loved eating at Famous Taco and Dershey’s where he was well known and loved.
     Daniel had quite the sense of humor was an easy-going person who was always the first to help someone out in need. He made a big impact on those around him. Including the friends of his children and grandchildren. A lot of them stayed in touch and referred to him as a father figure. 
     Daniel is survived by his children: Tawnie (Michael) Paullus and Peter (Chelsea) Petrick; siblings: MaryAnn (Joe) Villarreal; Patti Cram; and Greg Petrick and grandchildren: Ahdya Paullus, Anya Paullus, Michael Paullus and Daniel F. Petrick; great-grandkids: Leighton Sanchez, Milo Paullus, and Oliver Petrick. As well as his beloved cat Boo Petrick. He was preceded in death by his wife Juila Gloria Petrick (Honey) and his parents Peter and Refugia Petrick.
