Dale LeRoy Evey

     Dale LeRoy Evey, age 99, of Sumner, Michigan, passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at Laurels of Carson City, Carson City, MI.
     A Memorial Service at will be held at Sumner Center Church of Nazarene, 3100 Warner Road, Sumner, Michigan 48889, on Monday, June 30, 2025, at 11:00 A.M., with Pastor John Wright officiating. Burial will take place at Sumner Cemetery, Sumner, MI.
     Dale was born in Sumner, Michigan on August 19, 1925, the son of Walter and Opal J. (Forquer) Evey. He graduated from Crystal High School. Dale served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII. On October 27, 1946, he married Yvonne Leone Taylor, in St. Johns, Michigan. They were blessed with sixty-eight years of marriage, prior to her passing on March 23, 2015.
     Dale worked for Consumers Power Company for more than 40 years and was a member of Sumner Center Church of the Nazarene, Sumner Michigan.
     He is survived by his children: Patricia Smith, Jeanice and Marvin Pyle, Karen and Gary Willis, Daniel and Jacqueline Evey, and Joseph Evey. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren; and two brothers: Bernard and Skip Evey and Elmon and Carol Evey. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Opal Evey, his wife Yvonne, son-in-law James Smith, two sisters: Betty and Bill Freed, Bethel and Lyle Jerome.
