Connie Jean Robinson

    Connie Jean Robinson, age 66, of Owosso, MI, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 12, 2026.

     A Celebration of Life will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie, MI on Thursday August 20, 2026, from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

    Connie was born in Saginaw, MI on January 22, 1960, the daughter of Howard Fred and Doris Marie (Patterson) Robinson. For several years, she worked for Baker College as a Campus Safety Monitor. Prior to her time at the college, she worked for Memorial Healthcare for many years. First, as an emergency medical technician for ambulance services, then switchboard operations, and finally in registration.

    Connie was an avid reader, always gravitating towards mystery and thriller novels. She also grew an abundance of flowers and maintained them around her home.

    Family was the most important thing to Connie. She loved taking her daughter out to Great Lakes Loons baseball games, Saginaw Spirit hockey games, and the Shrine Circus. She valued the time she spent with her daughter, and enjoyed simply hanging out with Cassie while she played video games. Connie took every opportunity to spend time with her two grandsons: taking them to the park, out to restaurants, and doing crafts like making mother's day and birthday cards for their mom.

     Connie will be lovingly remembered as a kind, empathetic spirit. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

    She is survived by her daughter Cassie (Austin) Corwin; her grandsons: Jasper FrostX and Lachlan Corwin; her brothers: Don (Sherry) Robinson, Jerry (Terri) Robinson, and Gale (Cathy) Robinson; and many nieces and nephews. Connie was preceded in death by her parents Howard and Doris Robinson; sister Karen Abnet; and several aunts and uncles.
