Connie Lee McGill, age 74, of Sumner, MI, passed away Saturday, February 17, 2024, at MyMichigan Medical Center, Alma, MI.
Funeral Services will be held at Sumner Center Church of the Nazarene, Sumner, MI 48889, at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, with Pastor Jake Gregory and Rev. Harold Meyers officiating. Burial will take place at Sumner Cemetery, Sumner, MI. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, from 2-8 P.M. with the family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes Ithaca, MI.
Connie was born in Alma, Michigan on September 5, 1949, the daughter of Wesley Denman and Donna Mae (Gates) Hagerman. Connie was raised from the age of three years old by Jerry Hagerman who she loved as her dad.
Connie was a waitress at Lonnie's in Crystal where she met Vic McGill. Connie and Vic married on July 29, 1967, at Sumner Center Church of the Nazarene and were blessed with 56 years of marriage. Connie was a supportive wife alongside Vic with their family trucking business. She took good care of her whole family and was always putting others first. She enjoyed gardening, canning, baking, cooking, reading, and rides on the golf cart. Most of all, she loved spending time with her husband, children, and grandchildren.
Connie was a lifetime member of Sumner Center Church of the Nazarene where she was also the secretary for 20 years. She also served as a secretary for the St. Louis Church of the Nazarene for 20 years.
She is survived by her husband Vic McGill of Sumner, MI; son Jerry McGill of Sumner, MI; daughter Ronda McGill of Mt. Pleasant, MI; grandchildren: Pat and Kimberly Rossman, Nick and Lisa Carter, Jake and Ashley McGill, Alex and Alyssa Wanless, Jamie Babosh, Brody and Jenna Babosh, and Elliette Russell, great-grandchildren: Weston, Tripp, Clayton, Victor, Georgia, Colton, Jessica, Julia, Lauralei, Waylon, and Emersyn. She was preceded in death by her parents Jerry and Donna Hagerman, father Wesley Denman, brother Wesley Denman, Jr. "Butch", and great-grandson Trent Carter.
