Christine Carpenter age 81 of Owosso, MI passed away Tuesday, September 16, 2008 at her home after a lengthy illness.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Jennings-Lyons Chapel, Owosso, MI on Friday, September 19, 2008 at 2:00 PM. Chaplain Beverly Adcock will officiate with burial at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Owosso, MI. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2008 from 6-8 PM. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Jennings-Lyons Chapel, Owosso.

Christine was born on March 6, 1927, in Galagher, WV the daughter of Clarence and Lucille Carroll. She was married to Jess Carpenter and she was a long time Owosso resident. She worked as an Assembler at Motor Products of Owosso. Family was a big part of Christine's life; she will be remembered as a true caregiver and hard worker.

She is survived by her daughter Terry & Richard Svarc of Durand, MI, 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, her son Jess Carpenter and 2 brothers.
