Chris Matthew Dutton

Chris M. Dutton, age 56, of Middleton, died Thursday, October 18, 2018, at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing.

Chris was born December 14, 1961, in Carson City, the son of Eugene Arthur and Jean Marie (Bennett) Dutton.  He married Maria Carmen Moreno on February 23, 1984 in Maple Rapids.  Maria preceded him in death on August 18, 2009.

Chris was a devoted family man who loved country music.  He was a joyful person who lit up the room and brought laughter to everyone.  Chris loved to sing with his children.  He was a hard worker and  worked as a pipeliner for 35 years.  His generosity  and kindness were above and beyond.

Chris is survived by his four children, Joshua (Loren Rose) Dutton of Bannister, Jory Dutton of Middleton, Jason Dutton of Middleton, and Estella Maria Dutton of Middleton; 12 grandchildren; his brohter and sisters, Larry Dutton of Elwell, Shan Dutton of Harrison, and Diana Barret of Harrison.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services for Chris will be 3 p.m. Sunday, October 21, 2018, at the Barden Funeral Home in Ithaca.  Interment will follow in Ithaca Cemetery.  Visitation will be prior to the service from 1-3 p.m.
