Cheryl Hess

Cheryl Lynn Somerville Hess, age 53, of Ithaca, MI, passed away Friday, May 17, 2019, at Riverside Nursing Home, St. Louis, MI.

Cremation has taken place and a Time of Remembrance and Celebration will be held at the Senior Activity Building, 1011 E. North Street, Ithaca, MI on Monday, July 22, 2019 at 4:30 P.M.

Cheryl was born in Alma, Michigan on December 29, 1965, the daughter of Donald and Margie (Johnson) Somerville.  She graduated from Ithaca High School with the class of 1984 and received an associate degree from Ferris State University in 1987 as a Laboratory Technician. On May 9, 1993, Cheryl married Daniel William Hess at the Chapel of the Bells in Las Vegas.

Cheryl loved her cats. She enjoyed traveling with Dan, especially to Florida. Cheryl was an avid bowler and was on a bowling league for several years. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Mt. Pleasant, MI.

Cheryl is survived by her mother Margie Somerville Woodbury, husband Dan Hess, step-son Dan Hess, step-daughter Mysti Lister, grandchildren: Heaven and Winter (Conner); a great-granddaughter Caroline, and brother James (Kathy) Somerville. Cheryl was preceded in death by her father and her infant son Oscar.
