Charles “Charlie” Edward Heinze, age 72, of Bannister, MI, passed away Monday, April 21, 2025, at University of Michigan Health-Sparrow Lansing, MI.
A cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Charlie was born in St Johns, MI on June 5, 1952, the son of Eugene and Irene (Robbe) Heinze. He graduated Ovid-Elsie High School with class of 1970. He served his country in the Army National Guard, Owosso 144th Military Police, from 1971 to 1977.
Charlie was the life of the party and had a very recognizable and unforgettable laugh, the “Heinze laugh”! He was an avid hunter and fisherman, enjoyed skeet shooting, reloading ammunition, loved the outdoors and was a very skilled trim carpenter.
Charlie is survived by his children: Tim (Liz) Heinze of Sheboygan, WI; and Becky (Dan) Guyski of Henderson, MI; his longtime partner Sandy Dysinger of Bannister, MI; Sandy’s children: Tim Dysinger of Manchester, MI; daughter Tina Dysinger of Flint, MI; granddaughter Serina Heinze of Louisburg, NC; siblings: William (Susan) Heinze of Ashley, MI; Louise (Willard) Huntoon of Grand Ledge, MI; Lester (Starry) Heinze of The Villages, FL; Frederick (Kathy) Heinze of Elsie, MI; Sharon (Donald) Bowen of Ovid, MI; Dennis (Debora) Heinze of Gregory, MI; sister-in-law Teresa(Kevin) Russell of Ovid, MI; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandchildren: Tyler Heinze, Kathryn Heinze, Faith Heinze; and brothers: Walter Heinze and Patrick Heinze.
