Catherine Sue Wang

     Catherine Sue "Cathy" Wang, age 69, of Ashley, Michigan, passed away Sunday, August 3, 2025, at University of Michigan Health-Sparrow Lansing, Lansing, Michigan.
     In following Cathy's wishes, a cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time. Burial will take place at Ford Cemetery, Elba Township, Michigan, at a later date.
     Catherine was born at Camp Pendleton, California on June 5, 1956, the daughter of Edward Joseph and Margaret Ann (Ryan) Swanchara. She lived most of her life in the Ashley area. On April 3, 1976, Cathy married Randy Duane Wang at Edgewood Church of God in Ithaca, MI. They were blessed with thirty-eight years of marriage prior to Randy's passing on November 11, 2014.
     Cathy was an amazing cook. She loved reading and watching movies. She was a caregiver and spent many years caring for Randy and their family.
     She is survived by her son Eric (Regina) Wang; four grandchildren: Ezra (Lee) Bearden, Xander Bearden, Xaena (Miguel) Cruz, and Eric B. Wang; three great grandchildren: Jaycie Lynn, Saint Michael, and Theo; her brother Andrew Swanchara; her sisters: Brenda Hunt and Janice Seyrek; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by parents, husband Randy, daughter Randi Wang, and brothers: Ed Swanchara and Rodney Swanchara.
