Carol Louise Seidel

     Carol Louise Seidel, age 82, of Ovid, MI, passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at University of Michigan Health-Sparrow, Lansing, MI.
     Funeral Services will be held at St. Johns Lutheran Church, St. Johns, MI, at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, June 26, 2026, with Pastor Jim Pearl officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2026, from 2-8 P.M. with the family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes - Osgood Chapel, St. Johns, MI and again on Friday, June 26, 2026, from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the church.
     Carol was born in Bannister, Michigan on August 4, 1943, the daughter of Clarence and Margaret (Morris) Cook. She graduated from Elsie High School, with the class of 1961. Carol married George Seidel on February 6, 1971, at the St. Johns Lutheran Church.
     Carol drove school bus for Ovid-Elsie Area Schools for 28 years and subbed for several years. She enjoyed bowling and gardening. She loved time with her family and especially enjoyed doting on her grandchildren. She was a lifetime member of St. Johns Lutheran Church, St. Johns, MI where she was active in the church choir.
     She is survived by her husband George Seidel; her children: Steve and Heather Seidel, Chris and Vikki Seidel, and Marie and Brandon French; her grandchildren: Nicholas Seidel, Dylan Seidel, Lincoln Seidel, Harrison Seidel, and Sadie Seidel. She is also survived by her siblings: Janet Krull, Bill and Linda Cook, Sue Doten, Randy and Kelly Cook, Danny and Tina Cook, and David and Cindy Cook. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers: Howard and Bob Cook.
