Carol Dawn Kolp

     Carol Dawn Kolp, age 75, of Ovid, MI, passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2026.

      Carol was born in Lansing, MI on December 22, 1950, the daughter of Harold Ivan and Ardis LaVone (DeLong) Gage. She graduated from Everett High School in Lansing, MI, with the class of 1969. On March 27, 1993, Carol married the love of her life, David Gerard Kolp, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Westphalia, MI. They spent over 23 years together before his passing on November 1, 2016.
      Carol loved taking her kids camping when they were younger. As she got older, she enjoyed the quiet hobbies of puzzles, playing cards, and reading. Every fall she looked forward to rooting the University of Michigan football team, and made a point to watch every game with her family.
     Carol will be greatly missed by her family, and her wonderful friends at Carriage Town Apartments in Ovid, MI.
     She is survived by her children: Donald (Karen) Wainright, Steven (Tammy) Wainright, and Tammy (James) Brotherton; her grandchildren: Brandon (Desire) Lantz, Douglas Brotherton, Hannah Wainright, and Tyler Wainright; great-granddaughters Serenity and Emilia; sister Pamela (David) Good; and her brother John Maxwell. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband David; and sisters: Sondra (Carl) Emenhiser, and Nancy (Rosco) Robinson.
