Carol Sue Gibbons

     Carol Sue Gibbons, age 80, of Fowler, MI, passed away Wednesday, December 10, 2025.
     Per Carol’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of Life will be planned at a later date.
     Carol was born in St. Johns, MI, on May 19, 1945, the daughter RG and Bertha (Yoemans) Devereaux. She graduated from Fowler High School, with the Class of 1963. Carol would go on to work various administrative roles in the area, but was well known as a cook and waitress at River's Bend in Maple Rapids and Miller's Tavern in Fowler.
     Everyone's favorite dish of Carol’s was her dinner rolls. When she wasn't cooking, Carol loved watching live rodeos and shows about animals. She was an avid animal lover, and always had an animal companion by her side. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
     She is survived by her children: Kevin Gibbons, Keith (Liza) Gibbons, and Kirby (Leslie) Gibbons; her grandchildren: Kevin (Sanne) Gibbons, Kane (Breanne) Gibbons, Kristen Gibbons, Daniel Gibbons, Alex Gibbons, Macy Gibbons, Kelsey Gibbons, Kenny Gibbons, Kellen Gibbons, Selena Gibbons, Bailie Rutledge, and Garrett Gibbons; great-grandchildren: Henley, Frederick, and Evie; siblings Janet Devereaux; and many nieces and nephews. Carol was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Gibbons, her daughter Karen Schulze, her parents, and siblings: Bruce Devereaux and Richard Devereaux.
