Carl Wymer

Carl Alden Wymer, 85, of Ithaca, MI, passed away peacefully Monday, January 25, 2021, at Mid-Michigan Medical Center, Alma.

Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held at the First Baptist Church, St. Louis, MI on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Phil Maxwell officiating.

Carl was born in Ithaca, MI on March 7, 1935, the son of Henry Aulden and Nina B. (Aumaugher) Wymer. He graduated from Ithaca High School with the class of 1953.

On January 11, 1964, Carl married Ruthann Maxwell at Ithaca Church of God. They were blessed with 57 years of marriage.

Carl was an outdoorsman; he loved fishing, hunting, and gardening, especially his tomato plants. Carl was passionate about canning the vegetables from his garden. He enjoyed dancing every chance he could. He liked to sit on his porch and feed the squirrels. He looked forward to attending sporting events.

Carl is survived by his wife Ruthann, 4 children: Cindy Wymer of Troy, Terry (Vanessa Mockridge) Wymer of Ithaca, Randy Wymer of Indiana, and Robin (William) Dennis of Mt. Pleasant; 5 grandchildren: Alisha (Michael) Shattuck, Hannah Wymer, Dakota Cherry, Lana Meaders, and Andrew "AJ" Dennis; 3 great grandchildren, 2 brothers: Ron (Liz) Wymer and Larry (Sue) Wymer and several nieces and nephews.  Carl was preceded in death by his parents and Ruthann's parents Ted and Ann Maxwell.
