Briona Renee Ordway

      Briona Renee Ordway, age 22, of St. Johns, MI, passed away Monday, September 19, 2022 as the result of a car accident.

     A Memorial Service will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes - Osgood Chapel, St. Johns, MI, at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, with Dr. Brendan Holmquist officiating.  Visitation will be held on Monday, September 26, 2022, from 2-8 P.M. with the family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.

     Briona was born in St. Johns, Michigan on December 21, 1999, the daughter of Johnny and Niaomi (Ordway) Elias.  She graduated from St. Johns High School with the class of 2018.  Briona had a big heart and always tried to see the best in others. She loved to hang out with her friends.  She enjoyed big trucks and going to mud bogs. She liked going camping with her family and friends. The joy of Briona's life was her daughter Olivia and she loved her immensely.

     She is survived by her daughter Olivia Wood; parents Niaomi and Johnny Elias of St. Johns, MI; sister Maya Elias of St. Johns, MI; brother Jacob Heckaman of IN; grandparents: William and Londa Ordway of Bannister, MI; and John and Dora Elias of Lansing, MI; father T.J. (Nicole) Burns; the father of her daughter Lane Wood; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.  She was preceded in death by her "Great Grandma Meemer" Lucille Ordway.

     In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for a fund to be established for the care and education of her daughter Olivia.
