Billy Ray Good

     Billy Ray "Bill" Good, age 77, of Elsie, MI, passed away Saturday, April 12, 2025, in Mecosta, MI.
      Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Elsie, MI, at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, with Pastor John James officiating. Burial will take place at Marion Township Cemetery, Marion Springs, MI. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, from 3-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
      Bill was born in Owosso, Michigan on April 6, 1948, the son of Donald John and Shirley Jean (Taylor) Good. He married Irene Leona Miller on June 17, 1967, in Chesaning, MI.  After 30 years of service, Bill retired from General Motors. After retirement, he hauled LP for 10 seasons. Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing, pontoon rides, golf cart rides and spending time on Martiny Lake Flooding in Mecosta County. He loved spending time with his wife Irene and cousins Arloa and Otto Richter. He was a member of UAW Local 652.
      He is survived by his wife of 57 years Irene Good of Elsie, MI; children: Shelly Good of Elsie, MI; Alan Good of Elsie, MI; and William and Susan Good of Oakley, MI; 7 grandchildren: Necole Good, Amanda Pletscher, Sean Putney, Steven Putney, Dylan Good, Colby Good, and Samantha Good and 6 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Terry Good of Glennie, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Shirley Good, his brother Timmy Good, his sister Cheryl Good, special cousin Steve Good and his father and mother-in-law Kline and Florence Miller.
