Beulah Helen (Alspaugh) "Bea" Galloway

    Beulah Helen "Bea" Galloway, age 97, of Alma, MI, passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at Rosewood Adult Foster Care, Ithaca, MI.

     A Memorial Service will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis, MI, at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, May 1, 2023, with Pastor Billie Lou Gillespie officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at Chapel Garden Cemetery, Alma, MI, at a later date.

     Beulah was born in St. Louis, Michigan on June 14, 1925, the daughter of Stephen and Ella Mae (Beard) Alspaugh.  She graduated from St. Louis High School with the class of 1943.  On May 22, 1948, Beulah married Howard Edwin Galloway in Angola, IN. They were blessed with nearly seventy years of marriage prior to his passing on April 19, 2018.

     Bea loved her seventy years of life with Howard. She enjoyed the car shows and time at their cabin in Sanford. She liked to watch the birds and feed the squirrels, occasionally by hand. She always had a beautiful flower garden at her home. Bea loved her family and always looked forward to time together and the annual family reunions.

     She is survived by her son Dave (Karen) Galloway of St. Louis, MI; three grandchildren: Jeremy Galloway, Megan Galloway, and Nathan Knapp; two great-grandchildren: Adam (Abbey) Bissell, and Amber (Nick) DeRosia; and four great-great grandchildren: Owen, Della, Saylor, and Rhett; sister Doris King, sister-in-law Sharon Alspaugh, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Howard, granddaughter Shannon Bissell, infant grandson Michael Galloway, her siblings: Ilah Alspaugh, Erma (Ed) Jacobs, Raymond (Elaine) Alspaugh, Arlene (Lloyd) Roberson, Wesley Alspaugh, Burton (Shirley) Alspaugh, and Marvin Alspaugh.
