Betty Lorain (Harney) Williams

     Betty Lorain Williams, age 85, of Breckenridge, MI, passed away Friday, August 19, 2022, at Masonic Pathways, Alma, MI.

     In following Betty's wishes, a cremation has taken place and no services will be held.

     Betty was born in Alma, Michigan on February 23, 1937, the daughter of Clarence McMains and Alice Mildred (Sellars) Harney.  She graduated from Grayling High School.  On February 14, 1959, Betty married Robert J. Williams in Cheboygan, MI.  They were blessed with nearly 62 years of marriage prior to his passing on January 28, 2021.

      Betty was a dedicated wife and mother.  She cared for her home and family through her hard work.  She enjoyed her chickens and pigs.  She always raised a garden and canning everything to feed her family. Everything in her life was built upon her love of her family.

      She is survived by two sons: Ron Williams of Clearfield, UT; and Mac Williams of Elsie, MI; daughter-in-law Cathy Williams of KS; three grandchildren: Alyssa Sheldon, Juston Williams, and Breanne Davis; and four great-grandchildren: Charlotte Davis, Stephen Davis, Scarlette Sheldon, and Vivienne Sheldon; one brother Jack (Sherri) Harney, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bob, son Ellis Williams, grandson Dale R. Williams, and one sister Shirley (Chester) Johnston.
