Betty Rae (Forbes) Rice

     Betty Rae Rice, age 94, of St. Louis, MI, passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at McKellers Assisted Living, St. Louis, MI.

     Cremation has taken place and a graveside service will take place at a later date at Pritchard Cemetery, Elwell, MI.

     Betty was born in Royal Oak, MI on May 22, 1928, the daughter of Carl and Edith (Hardy) Forbes. Betty married William Rice on June 3, 1967, William passed away in 2004.  Betty retired from the Alma Clinic as a Medical Assistant. She was secretary at East Superior Christian Church for several years. Betty enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles. Most of all she loved spending time with her family. 

 She is survived by her son Michael and Cathy Starry, daughters: Deborah Daman, Donna Clark and Tom Kaufman; and seven step-children: Kathy, Don, Sue, Roger, Marcia, David, Nancy; and her sister Donna Dayringer. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.   She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Marsha, son-in-law Bill Daman, granddaughter Traci, and great granddaughter Brianna.

     Betty's family would like to thank McKellers Assisted Living for the excellent care they gave her. She made many new friends while there.
