Betty Holley

Betty Jo Holley, age 56, of East Lansing , MI , passed away Saturday, October 16, 2021 , at Hope Network, East Lansing , MI .

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes - Osgood Chapel, St. Johns, MI, at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, October 22, 2021 with Pastor Doug Strait officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral beginning at 12:00 P.M. at the funeral home.  A private burial will take place at Alton Cemetery , Owosso , MI .

Betty was born in Lansing , Michigan on December 16, 1964 , the daughter of Keith Lee and Ruth Ann (Frisbie) Holley.

Betty loved country music.  She was a WITL fanatic and often won call in contests.  She enjoyed attending country music concerts, especially at the annual Common Ground Festival.  She liked to play Bingo and to scratch off lottery tickets. Betty loved camping, dancing, stuffed animals, bowling, gardening, taking pictures and karaoke. She will be remembered for her ability to love unconditionally.

Since her accident in 1986, Betty has lived in assisted living.  She lived many years in the Hope Network.  The family would like to thank the Hope Network and Betty's guardian Carolyn Bovee for their care of Betty.

Betty is survived by her mother Ruth "Nana" Holley of Lansing, MI; and 5 siblings: Debby (Kevin) Starkweather of Lansing, MI, Ernest Holley of Lansing , MI , Theodore (Janice Kirby) Holley of Columbus, OH, JoEllen Holley of East Lansing , MI , and Alecia Orozco of Lansing , MI . She is also survived by 8 nieces and nephews and 8 great-nieces and nephews.  Betty was preceded in death by her father and her daughter Amanda Kay Lynn Jones.
