Betty Jean Boog

     Betty Jean Boog, age 97, of Ithaca went home to heaven on Tuesday, December 2, 2025.
     Funeral Services will be held at Edgewood Church of God in Ithaca, MI on Friday, December 5, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. Burial will take place at the Ithaca Cemetery, Ithaca, MI . Visitation will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Ithaca, MI on Thursday December 4, 2025, from 2-8 P.M. with the family present from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
     She was born on March 1, 1928, to Carl and Beatrice (Fisher) Brewbaker Wickwire in Clinton County, MI. She was a devoted Christian mother who prayed daily for her family and others.
     She worked for Auto Owners Insurance Company in Lansing when younger, and after retirement at the North Star Golf Course, but the task she really enjoyed was caring for the preschoolers at her church Sunday School class. She enjoyed sewing and was an excellent seamstress. Whatever task she undertook was done thoroughly and meticulously.
     She is survived by her children: Kay Clingenpeel of Breckenridge, MI; Larry (Jackie) Boog of Charlevoix, MI; and Gary (Brenda) Boog of St. Louis, MI; daughter-in-law Pat Boog of Midland, MI; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert C. Boog; her son, Douglas Boog; son-in-law, Don Clingenpeel; her brothers, Leon, Don, and Duane Brewbaker; and sisters, Virginia Devereaux and June Brewbaker.
     The family has been very thankful for Residential Hospice workers, Kati and CeCe; and for Eric and Alyssa for the excellent care they gave.
