Beatrice Laurene Chila age 63 of Bancroft, Michigan died Thursday, January 1, 2004 at Genesys Health Park Hospital, Grand Blanc, Michigan.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, January 6, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Corunna Chapel. Pastor Robert E. Henson will officiate. Visitation will be Monday from 9-11 A.M. & 2-8 P.M. with family present 2-4 & 6-8 P.M.
Beatrice was born in Flint Michigan on December 10, 1940 the daughter of James A. & Evie Jane (Watson) Potter. She graduated from Lakewood High School in Lake Odessa, Michigan. She worked for General Motors in Lansing, Michigan on the assembly line. Beatrice attended the South Flint Tabernacle Church in Flint, Michigan. She had resided most of her life in the Owosso area.
Survivors include her three daughters; Mirita & Richard Chipman of Bancroft, Michigan, Tonya & Kevin Barker of Lake Odessa, Michigan, Cindy & Rodney Heavner of Tennessee and she is also survived by her grandkids; Craig, Trish, Dan, Scott, Crystal, Sean, David, Cassie and two great- grandchildren; Madison and Tayler. Also surviving her is one sister, Marion Gobel of Florida and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, 1 brother, James Potter II, a child, Theodore Goodwin.
The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, Corunna Chapel.
