Barbara Joy "Barb" Brook, age 92, of St. Louis, MI, passed away Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at Schnepp Health Care Center, St. Louis, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at Coe Church of Christ, St. Louis , MI , Saturday, September 11, 2021 , at 11:00 A.M. with her nephew, Pastor Phil Smith officiating.  Burial will take place at Coe Township Cemetery , St. Louis , MI .  Visitation will be held on Friday, September 10, 2021 from 4-7 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel. The funeral service will be live streamed on Smith Family Funeral Homes' Facebook page.

Barbara was born in Pleasant Valley , Michigan on December 27, 1928 , the daughter of David Emmett and Crystal Merle (Martin) Brady. She graduated from Shepherd High School with the class of 1946.

Barb married her first love VanDoran Stahl on March 14, 1947 in Shepherd, MI and he passed away on February 26, 1985 .  She then married Stanley Vinton on January 1, 1987 at Coe Church of Christ in St. Louis , Michigan and he passed away.  Barb met Bill Brook at Rock Lake and was married on April 4, 2008 and since has passed away.

Barb was a very kind and caring person who was always willing to help those in need. She owned and operated her own Adult Foster Care Home with her husband VanDoran. She enjoyed cooking and baking; she was famous for her pie and baked beans. Barb was the glue of her family and loved spending time with them. She cherished her refrigerator plastered with family photos and her precious Princess (her poodle). Barb was a lifelong faithful servant. Barb and Van helped start many churches. She was a member of Coe Church of Christ and St. Louis Church of Christ.

She is survived by her children: Sandi and Bill Allen of St. Louis, MI, Carolyn and Phillip Stahl of St. Louis, MI, Kevan and Karen Stahl of Grand Rapids, MI, Bonnie and Ted Cline of St. Louis, MI, her grandchildren: Eric and Melissa Allen, Wendy and Chris Malek, David Stahl, Scott and Ashlie Stahl, Rachael and David Miller, Tad Cline, and Jacob Stahl.  She is also survived by her great-grandchildren:  Trevor Allen, Levi Cepak and Bobbie Pratt, Chelsey and Mike Dickman, Bret Miller, Ryan and Courtney Miller, Emalee Cline, Grayson Stahl, Gwennie Briedinger, Stella Miller, Viviann Miller, Alexis Alonzo, and great-great grandchildren: Brody, Austin, Jaidyn, Noah, Nolan, Quinn, Oliver, Luke, and Waylon.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, infant son Barry Stahl, and siblings: Betty Hitsman, Buck (David C.)  Brady and Bob (Robert) Brady.
