Arthur LeRoy Howard

     Arthur LeRoy "Art" Howard, age 88, of St. Johns, MI, passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at Hazel I. Findlay Country Manor, St. Johns, MI.
     Funeral Services will be held at Grove Bible Church, St. Johns, MI, at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, May 11, 2026, with Dr. Brendan Holmquist officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday at the church from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Burial will take place at Mt. Rest Cemetery, St. Johns, MI immediately following the service.
     Art was born in St. Johns, Michigan on December 23, 1937, the son of Frank and Ruth (Risley) Howard. He graduated from Laingsburg High School with the class of 1957. Art married Linda Lee Reese on August 6, 1960, at Duplain Church of Christ in St. Johns, MI. They were blessed with 62 years of marriage, prior to her passing on October 7, 2022.
     Art retired from Federal Mogul in 2000. In his retirement, he owned "Last Trax" providing animal control in the Clinton County area. Art and Linda enjoyed trips to the Mackinac Bridge and traveling to visit wherever their kids lived. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved trapping, hunting and fishing. Art passed his love for the outdoors on to his siblings, children and grandchildren. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of Grove Bible Church, St. Johns, MI.
     Art was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He will be remembered for making life safe and fun for his family. Art was faithful to Jesus, God and wanted to be an example of that faithfulness to others. He believed the words of C.T. Studd, "Only one life, 'twill soon be past, only what's done for Christ will last."
     He is survived by his children: Celeste and Kraig Ehm of Laingsburg, MI; and Grant Howard of Georgetown, KY; six grandchildren: Ryan and Taylor Ehm, Erica and Steve Davich, Joshua Ehm, Corey Howard, Jessica Howard, Courtney Howard; and great-granddaughters: Marley Ehm and Sadie Davich. He is also survived by his siblings: Ellis and Bonnie Howard, Joyce and Jim Turner and Charles and Jeanne Miller. He was preceded in death by his mother Ruth (Charles) Miller, father Frank Howard, his wife Linda, brothers: Irvin Walker, Wayne Walker, Wendell Walker, Frank Howard, sisters: Geraldine Swanson and Carole Holk.
