Anna Marie Leonard

     Anna "Marie" Leonard, age 100, of St. Johns, MI, passed away Monday, February 16, 2026, at Hazel I. Findlay Country Manor in St. Johns, MI.
     A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Johns, MI, at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, February 20, 2026, with Rev. Fr. Michael Williams presiding. Burial will take place at Eagle Cemetery, Eagle Township, MI on Friday, February 20, 2026, at 3:00 P.M. Visitation will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes – Osgood Chapel, St. Johns, MI, on Thursday, February 19, 2026, from 2-8 P.M. with the family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. with a Vigil Service being held at 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
     Anna was born in Portland, MI on October 17, 1925, the daughter of Albert and Lucinda (Simon) Kloeckner. On October 17, 1943, she married Robert Lee Leonard in Portland, MI. He passed away in 1995.
     Marie loved to cook and bake. She could sew anything or make anything and loved to make clothing for her family. Marie will be remembered as a hard worker. One of her favorite pastimes was playing cards with her friends, which she did for many years. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church where she was very active. Marie was very proud that she made it to the age of 100.
     She is survived by her daughter Anna and Ed Paseka of St. Johns, MI; her daughter Rosa and Paul Dobies of Boerne, TX; by grandchildren: Chris (Sheila) Paseka, Stacy (Troy) Luznak, Amy Leonard, Amber (Greg) Wallace, Jordan (Raul) Flores, Asher Salem; great-grandchildren: Alex (Shania) Paseka, Cole (Samantha) Paseka, Noah Paseka, Savannah McCurdy, Tyler (Rilee) Luznak, Trevor Luznak, Brook Luznak, Jake (Hailey) Wallace, Nathan Wallace, and Rhea Flores; 10 great-great-grandchildren; her daughter-in-law Deb and Ray Dieter of West Branch, MI; sister-in-law Geneva Leonard of Eagle, MI; sister-in-law Sybil Katalenich of Grand Ledge, MI; several nieces and nephews. Marie was preceded in death by her parents Albert and Lucinda, husband Robert, her son Steven, and brother Francis.
