    Althea May Powell, age 71, of Perrinton, MI, passed away Monday, August 17, 2026, at her home in the presence of her family.
     Per Althea’s wishes, cremation will take place, and Celebration of Life for Althea will be held at a later date.
     Althea was born September 19, 1954, in Ithaca, New York the daughter of Curtis Farman and Althea Bott. She was the beloved spouse of Douglas C. Powell of 31 years. She was the mother of 3 children: Trinity Dallas Donley, Amberlyn Plath, and Aimee Seaman. She gained 2 bonus children: Gerritt Powell, and Ryan Powell after the marriage to her best friend, Doug, in South Bend, IN.
     Althea grew up in Michigan, moving from various places until she settled in the Ithaca/Perrinton area and remained for the past 32 years. She dedicated her life to her family, grandchildren, and helping others no matter the circumstances. She was a loving mother who taught compassion, respect, empathy, and many other amazing values that will never be forgotten.
     Althea especially enjoyed fishing, anywhere, anytime. Her and Doug loved to take many adventures, long drives, spending time with their grandchildren, and trips to Tennessee and South Carolina. They were inseparable right up to the end.
     She is survived by her loving husband Douglas Powell; her children: Trinity Donley, Amberlyn Plath, Aimee (Marty) Seaman, Gerrit (Amanda) Powell, and Ryan Powell; her father Curtis (Carolyn) Farman; her siblings: Doug Shaw, Doreen Shaw, Bill (Becky) Farman, and Bob Farman. Althea is also survived by her grandchildren: Tavin Plath, Treyton Donley, Avery Powell, Grace Powell, Maggie Powell, Colton Seaman, Morgan Seaman, and Mason Seaman; great-grandchild Oaklen Seward; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother Althea Bott; brother Curtis Farman; son Billy Donley; her aunt Allie Gay; and many other aunts, uncles, and cousins.
