Alice M. Schneider, age 90, of Fowler, MI, passed away Sunday, January 24, 2021, at Grace Haven Assisted Living, St. Johns, MI.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Fowler, MI, on Wednesday, January 27, 2021, at 10:30 a.m., with Rev. Fr. Dennis Howard officiating and Rev. Fr. Darrel Kempf as concelebrate.  Burial will take place at Most Holy Trinity Cemetery, Fowler, MI.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 from 2-8 p.m. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at Smith Family Funeral Homes - Goerge Chapel, Fowler, MI.  Rosary will be prayed at 3:00 p.m. & 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. For those unable to attend the funeral mass, services will be live streamed on Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church Facebook Page (https://www.facebook.com/MHTParish).

Alice was born in Dallas Township, MI on March 29, 1930, the daughter of Sylvester and Johanna (Halfman) Schafer. She graduated from Pewamo High School. Alice married Donald A. Schneider on August 22, 1950, at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Fowler, MI.  Their marriage was blessed with 13 children, 41 grandchildren, 89 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Donald passed away on September 25, 2017.

Alice enjoyed making quilts, traveling, fishing, and trips to the casino. She also liked playing cards and color tours. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She was a member of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church and Christian Mothers.

She is survived by her children: Joanne and Chuck Miller, Leon and Stephanie Schneider, Joyce and Mike Bond, Jim and Sue Schneider, Gary and LuAnn Schneider, Mark and Marilyn Schneider, Joe and D. Ann Schneider, Bob Schneider and Michael Martin, Mike and Dawn Schneider, Patty and Kurt Koenigsknecht, Terry and Carrie Schneider, daughter-in-law Eileen Schneider (Ron), brother Jerry and Kaye Schafer, and a large extended family.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Donald, sons: Ron and Tom, granddaughter Michelle Schneider, 2 great grandchildren: Sabastian and Gabriel Schneider, brother Jim (Agatha) Schafer, and sister Grace (Judd) Cousineau.

The family would like to thank Grace Haven Assisted Living for the wonderful care given to their mother.
