Alberto Leal Longoria

      Alberto Leal "Al" Longoria, age 65, of St. Johns, MI, passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at his home.   

      Alberto was born in Lansing, MI on January 9, 1959, the son of Eufemio Cantu and Julia (Leal) Longoria.  He was a graduate of St. Johns High School.   Alberto served his country in the U.S. Marines. 

      Alberto loved to read and bible studies were very important to him.  He was an avid sports fan, especially the Detroit Tigers, Detroit Lions, and Michigan State University fan. Alberto's family held a special place in his heart; he loved the time he spent with family, especially his grandchildren, and his friends.  He was very neat and took pride in his appearance and his belongings. According to Alberto the three greatest men that ever lived were Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, Elvis Presley, and finally himself.  

      He is survived by his daughter Jessica and Gordon Purchase of Katy, TX; 2 grandchildren:  Bryce and Jacey Purchase; siblings: Eufemio "Eric" Longoria, Jr.  of St. Johns, MI; Diane Longoria of St. Johns, MI; Ricardo and Patty Longoria of Saginaw, MI; Gloria Kimmel of St. Johns, MI; Louis and Barb Longoria of St. Johns, MI; Michael and Natalie Longoria of St. Johns, MI; Billy and Kathy Peterson-Longoria of St. Johns, MI; Jeffery and Sabrina Longoria of Laingsburg, MI. Alberto is also survived by several nieces and nephews.  Alberto was preceded in death by his parents, his son Alberto Longoria, Jr. and his daughter Alaina “Lainey Sue” Longoria, also his brother Roberto Longoria.
