Adolphas Alvin "Bugsy" Peet Jr.

Adolphas Alvin Peet Jr. (Bugsy) age 74, of Ithaca, Michigan, passed away Sunday, June 28, 2015 at the Carson City Hospital.  Bugsy was born on January 13, 1941 in Ithaca, Michigan, the son of Adolphas and Lucille Peet Sr.  He graduated from Ithaca High School and then went on to serve in the United States Navy from 1960-1964.  He married the love of his life, Sharon Kaye Peska, on October, 20, 1962.

Bugsy worked at the Gratiot County Road Commision for 29 1/2 years before retiring. He also owned his own business, Peet's Radio and TV Service, in which he took great pride.

Bugsy enjoyed many activities throughout his life, including gardening, playing guitar, roller skating, cooking, watching old western movies, especially John Wayne, and spending time with his family and cat, Sophie.

Bugsy is survived by his wife, Sharon, two daughters, Michele (Peet) Trecy of Ithaca, MI, and Jill (John) Stec of Ithaca, MI and one son, Michael (Carrie) Peet of Orleans, MI.  He is also survived by six granddaughters, three grandsons, two great-granddaughters, two great-grandsons, his two sisters, Joan Abell and Joyce Carpenter, and his brother Richard (Marie) Peet.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Roger, his daughter, Lorraine, his grandson, Tyler, and his in-laws, Lloyd and Vivian.

Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Bugsy's name to the American Heart Association or any Michigan Veterans program of your choice. The family also asks that you take time every day to hug and kiss your loved ones and tell them that you love them.
