Adela Marie Toman, age 84, of Grand Ledge, MI, passed away Saturday, November 11, 2023 at her home with her family by her side.
A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints: 200 North Bostwick Street, Charlotte, Michigan 48813. Visitation will be at 12:00 P.M. with a Memorial Service at 1:00 P.M. followed by a luncheon.
Adela was born in Erie, Pennsylvania on September 30, 1939, the daughter of John and Adela (Walitis) Popovich. She was a graduate of St. Mary High School in Lansing, Michigan.
Adela loved caring for her family. She was an accomplished musician who played many instruments. Her hobbies included cooking, baking, gardening, loving her many cats and an occasional trip to the casino to play slots. Adela was self-employed most of her life, teaching music to many as well as designing projects, installing interior wall coverings and other window treatments. Adela had been the owner of Worlds of Wallpaper. Adela always appreciated a good laugh and had a great sense of humor. She will be missed by many who loved her.
She is survived by her son Victor Toman of Grand Ledge, MI; daughter Michelle Toman of Las Cruces, NM; daughter Julie and Roderic Weber of Texas; son Paul Toman of Grand Ledge, MI; grandchildren: Erika and Cory Clackler, Brittany Toman, and Vincent Toman; great-grandchildren: Gavin, Klayton, Carson, Ava, Blade, and Abbey; sister Dorothy Christine Birmingham of Raleigh, NC. Adela is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother John Popovich.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations in honor of Adela Toman may be made to MSU Veterinarian Clinic: Attention: Kate Droste, 736 Wilson Road, East Lansing, Michigan 48823 or The American Diabetes Association.
