    Frederick Louis Stehlik age 75 of Ovid, Michigan passed away on Saturday, July 8, 2017, our heavenly Father took another angel home at McLaren Greater Lansing Hospital, Lansing, MI.

    A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church, Ovid, MI, at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, July 11, 2017, with Rev. Fr. Raymond Urbanek officiating. Burial will take place at Middlebury Township Cemetery, Shiawassee County, MI. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 10, 2017 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes - Houghton Chapel, Ovid, MI.

   Frederick was born in Flint, Michigan on October 2, 1941, the son of Joseph Stehlik and Rose (Barta) Fabus. He married Frances Suchowesky on February 17, 1962 at St. Cyril's Catholic Church, Bannister, MI.

    Fred retired from General Motors. He was an avid sportsman; he loved hunting and fishing and raised his son and grandson to do the same. He liked working on cars and riding motorcycle. Most of all Fred had a great love for his family and wildlife.  Fred was a lifetime member of the ZCBJ Lodge in Bannister, MI. 

     Fred had previously attended St. Cyril's Catholic Church, Bannister, MI and also Holy Family Catholic Church, Ovid, MI. 

   He is survived by his wife Frances Stehlik of Ovid, MI, son Mark Stehlik and former spouse Beverly Stehlik of Ovid, MI, daughter Joelle Mulder of Elsie, MI, grandson Kyle Stehlik of Ovid, MI, granddaughter Jayden Mulder of Elsie, MI, siblings Jim and Helen Stehlik, Joseph Stehlik, Barbara Haruska, Larry and MaryAnn Stehlik, and Theresa and Jim Lytle. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and good friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Ed and JoAnn Stehlik, sister-in-law Virginia Stehlik, and brother-in-law John Haruska.
